Welcome to Lifehouse Kids…we love kids here at Lifehouse! We value children and see them as a really important part of family life. Lifehouse Kids is our children’s ministry. It’s designed to be safe, age-appropriate, fun and engaging with different environments and set-ups for different age-groups. The purpose of our Kids ministry is to nurture and encourage children to grow and thrive and be rooted in the love of Jesus. The purpose of Lifehouse Kids is to nurture, We love our children and make it a priority to invest our time and resources into them. Working in close partnership with parents is really important to us. We recognise that the best places for faith to be nurtured and developed is within the family home. To support this, we have our own Lifehouse Families WhatsApp Chat. Weekly updates about all things Lifehouse Kids are sent out on here. In addition to this we regularly organise events for the whole family – please see the latest ‘What’s On’ for more information!!
Sunday Mornings
On a Sunday, we begin our mornings together with worship as a whole family congregation before the children head off to their fun and action-packed groups. There are currently two groups in Lifehouse Kids, BOOM! and Impact & Sparkles.
BOOM is a fun and nurturing environment for children under 5. The aim is to provide a space to build spiritual foundations in a child’s valuable early years. Each week in Boom babies, toddlers and young children have the opportunity to learn about the ‘big idea’ through play, bible stories, exciting songs and hands-on activities. Parents are more than welcome to stay with their child(ren) or leave them with our team of experienced and trustworthy volunteers.
Impact is a place where children aged 5 to 10 learn about their relationship with God in ways that are simple, creative and lots of fun. We provide snacks, play games, have a time of age relevant worship and share Bible stories. Your kids will love it! Our sessions create a great space for children to develop healthy friendships and grow in their relationship with God.
Sparkles is a Parent-Led space we have created for parents with children of any age and situated in the lounge area of the church. The space equipped for all your needs including a live video and audio feed from the service, so you won’t miss a thing. Tea, coffee and biscuits are available too.
Our Sunday Kids Team
An incredible team of volunteers help to facilitate our groups on a Sunday morning. They are all dedicated to making sure our kids feel valued and important and helping them to connect with God in age-appropriate ways. Aoife and Alice are responsible for overseeing our Sunday morning groups. Their role is to ensure the smooth running of BOOM! and Impact and to promote the spiritual development of both groups.
Alice Martin (Left) – Having recently graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Studies, Alice works in a pre-school setting. Alice is our Kids and Families Network Leader, taking lead responsibility for Impact, BOOM!, Poppets, and anything else related to children and families through the life of the church. She Co-ordinates BOOM! on Sunday’s.
Aoife Ledger (Right) – Impact Co-ordinator Aoife relocated to Worcestershire as an NQT a few years ago and has been working as a class teacher in a local primary school ever since.
Poppets
Poppets Baby & Toddler Group (led by Siobhan Winch) is hosted by LIFEHOUSE each Thursday morning during school term time. The cost is £1.50 for the first child and adult, and 50p for each additional child or adult.
Running from 10:00am til 11:30am, the time is packed with a wide range of activities for you and your child, whether you’re a parent, grandparent or carer.
Our main room is set out with all sorts of toys, from things like puzzles that promote learning and concentration, to toys that are just plain fun like the trikes and slides! There’s a separate area in this room for babies, with bouncy chairs and soft toys. Seating is set up around the room so that the grown-ups can take a well-earned break and have a natter with friends, while still being able to keep an eye out for the children.
If your child fancies getting creative, or maybe just going somewhere a little quieter, our art and craft area is in an adjacent room. You’re welcome to move between the two areas at any time.
The children will get a healthy snack and a drink mid-way through the morning, while the adults take a break with coffee and cake!
The morning will finishes off with a story and song time.
