“Establishing powerful and effective rhythms of prayer within the life of our church community”
In Practice:
- Experimenting with creative prayer gatherings to find those with life and energy from the Holy Spirit. For example:
- ONE – midday prayer (weekly)
- Sunday nights (monthly)
- Saturday prayer breakfasts (quarterly)
- Encourage prayer trio’s
- Develop and train a prayer ministry team to serve in the life of the church
- Launch a prayer text (SMS) ministry
“Strengthening the church community by helping people connect with each other and find a place to call home”
In Practice:
- Launching ‘Connect groups’ that focus on building a culture of discipleship within the life of our church
- Organising whole church weekend’s away for extended teaching, ministry and fellowship and otherevents such as breakfasts, suppers, sports groups or interest groups of various descriptions.
- Encouraging peer/gender focussed ministry such as ‘WINGS’, YOUTH, MEN, WOMEN etc.
- Developing a pastoral care team
“Developing our Lowesmoor building to facilitate church growth and community engagement”
In Practice:
- Progress with plans for building refurbishment and extension creating excellent quality facilities. For example:
- Redesigned car park
- New kitchen/catering facilities
- Brand new auditorium seating 200+
- Coffee shop area
- Multiple purpose built multi-use rooms
“Engaging our wider community by increasing our presence and influence in and around Worcester through purposeful evangelistic activity and mission focused friendships”
In Practice:
- Exploring the potential to open a community coffee shop
- Building on the success of our baby and toddler group with Family Saturday’s and other family focussed events i.e. marriage courses, parenting courses etc.
- Launching a ‘cafe church’ event
- Ensuring we prioritise a missional focus within small groups creating a relational network for mission in and around Worcester
